CeraVe was developed by dermatologists after looking at evidence which suggested that many dermatology ( skin) conditions were associated with a decreased level of ceramides in the skin. They developed a new technology known as MultiVesicular Emulsion Technology, MVE. The technology was not only efficacious in restoring skin barrier function, it was also able to sustain moisture for up to 24 hours after just one use.
